Training the female athlete
Strength and conditioning training by a female for females.
As someone who falls into the serious recreational athlete category training, the female athlete is one of the areas I am super passionate about.
The female athlete comes in many forms.
You might be a high school or university level athlete, a competitive or serious recreational athlete, a female athlete who is currently pregnant or thinking about falling pregnant or an athletic woman who’s returning to exercise after giving birth.
If you’re currently involved in, or looking to return to a sporting activity, strength training is an essential element of this. The benefits of strength and conditioning training to athletic performance are vast and require a more educated, refined and strategic approach than simply lifting weights.
If you’re looking to take your athletic performance to the next level, let Tammy create a Strength and Conditioning program to prepare you, the athlete, for the demands of playing your sport.
Your program will take into consideration:
Your sport, and role (in team sport) Or specific event within a sporting discipline
Your training commitments
Your training cycles and seasons
Injury prevention
Recovery protocols
Previous exposure to weights training
Lifestyle and Nutritional advice (where needed).
“The key is not the will to win, everyone has that. It is the will to prepare to win that is important”.
